I am learning so much. Thanks.

Regarding the zoom - it allows me to step up once and down once.
The image is not very large, so I really cannot use it to navigate.
What should I have done to increase the scale (i.e., I want to be able to see more closely - perhaps to a street level - right now its like I'm looking down from 25,000 ft)

Again, thanks in advance...

I suggest again to try MOBAC. Choose a high zoom level (17 for example) if you want to see the details.

So, I installed MOBAC.

For those just learning MOBAC (like me), note the following...

If you have a WINDOWS computer, do not install the files into the "Program Files" subdirectory.
I just put the files into its own directory under C:\
i.e.: C:\MOBAC\

Also, you need to have JAVA installed. There are several versions. MOBAC recommends you use the version from Sun/Oracle.
They specifically note that there are issues with the version offered by OpenJDK. I tried this version - it didn't work.
So then I downloaded Sun/Oracle's version - all is fine.

The following website has a good user manual - if you are new to it...

JCR83 - thanks for the guidance.

I've been playing with MOBAC, and it seems all that I can create are a series of JPG files.
Is this what you were suggesting?
In my case, I managed to use MOBAC to create 17 JPG files - each with a greater level of detail, but none of them down to near-street level.
Also - I cannot seem to make them into TIFs or ECWs.
And ultimately ttMaps requires an ECW file.

So - does this mean I now need to...
- convert each of those JPGs into TIFs, using QGIS-Georeferencer
- and then convert those TIFs into ECWs, using GDAL_translate?

Or did I miss something?

Please read http://ttmaps.free.fr/forums/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=86#p4703 (message dated Jan 27, 2014, 18:00).

With MOBAC and GDAL, create an ECW file for each area and each zoom level you find useful, then create a file structure like this one in the ttMaps "Maps" folder:
maps.png
maps.png (31.18 KiB) Viewed 875 times

Do not forget to reindex the maps!

The files created by MOBAC are already georeferenced, you won't need QGIS.
